District 207 is set to continue in-person learning on Tuesday, Jan. 4 as scheduled. Unfortunately, there is misinformation being shared among community members indicating we are moving to remote learning for the spring semester. That is not true.
As things stand right now (12/28/21) with COVID-19 rates and the guidance from local and state health departments, we will be in person on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
We believe strongly that one of the main reasons we were able to be in person for the entire fall semester this school year is because we have a high rate of vaccinated individuals in our schools. More than 95% of all district staff are vaccinated and nearly 70% of students are vaccinated.
We will continue to evaluate our district data and information, as well as follow state and local guidance. While we are not planning remote learning right now, if that is something we had to do, we would implement an adaptive pause where learning would be virtual for a period of time. However, that is not something we are planning for at this time. Please know if that becomes the case, our families will be the first to know.
