District 207 is providing meals for families and this will continue over the summer and for as long as schools are not physically open to students. Additionally, due to a partnership with several local school districts, meals will be available several times during the week.
Meals are distributed between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at all three schools: Maine East High School (2601 W. Dempster Street, Park Ridge, IL 60068), Maine South High School (1111 S. Dee Road, Park Ridge, IL 60068) and Maine West High School (1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018).
In addition, other local school districts are providing food on Mondays and Wednesdays and in one case on Fridays as well.
There is NO sign up form to participate. Any student or family in need of meals can arrive at any of distribution locations (Maine East, Maine South or Maine West for District 207) and they will be provided with meals.
For District 207, meals will be distributed in a “drive-through” and “walk-through” fashion. We ask that you stay in your car and the meals will be brought to your car. Please do not get out of your car. If you walk to school, please form a line outside and practice social distancing by keeping at least six feet between the others in line. The meals will be brought to you in your car or in the walker line.
