| Brief Description of Program/Career | The Gensler Apprenticeship Program (GAP) is a multi-phase, hands-on, paid apprenticeship program that offers another path into the design industry that is equitable, attainable, and rigorous. It is a manifestation of Gensler’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategies, and it empowers individuals to make a change in their life and the lives of others
As an Apprentice-I in Gensler’s Chicago office, you will receive software training (Revit, Rhino, Adobe), work with our architects and designers on real projects, learn from our first cohort of Apprentices (now entering Apprentice-II), and rotate through design studios and support disciplines to receive well-rounded, rigorous, real-world design training. Upon completion of Apprentice-I, apprentices can feel confident they have acquired the necessary skills and training to apply for Apprentice-II or use their new network to uncover related career opportunities. |
