Career

 Job Corps is a federally funded educational and career development program under the Department of Labor created to support students who would like to pursue a career in a trade that will prepare them to be positive productive members of the society and the workforce.   Training In:

Advanced Manufacturing Automotive and Machine Repair
Construction Finance and Business
Healthcare Homeland Security
Hospitality Information Technology
Renewable Resources and Energy Transportation
Eligibility

Requirements
  • Are committed to improving your education and your future
  • Need job skills training, education, counseling, or related assistance to help get you started on a career pathway
  • Are between the ages of 16 and 24 Are a U.S. citizen, a legal U.S. resident, or are a resident of a U.S. territory and/or are authorized to work in the United States
  • Income Eligible: Applicants must meet one or more of these conditions: receives public assistance, earns poverty-level income, is homeless, is a foster child, or qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch. Your admissions representative will help you determine your eligibility.

You may NOT be eligible for Job Corps if you:

  • Use drugs illegally under federal law
  • Exhibit behavioral problems that could prevent you or others from success in Job Corps
  • Have certain criminal convictions or require court supervision

Requirements for Application 16-24 Years old.  Meet Eligibility Requirements above. 
Length of Program Varies by Trade usually 1 – 1.5 years
