The District 207 Communications Department earned several awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) as part of the organization’s Communication Awards program.
Director of Communications Brett Clark, APR, and Coordinator of Digital Media Dan Kolen, earned a Golden Achievement Award for the COVID-19 relief communication efforts titled “Helping Those Most in Need.” The district raised more than $110,000 since April of 2020 that has been donated to District 207 families in need. Entries were judged on excellence in four categories critical to any public relations effort: analysis of need, planning to meet the need, execution/communication and formal evaluation. District 207 met all four criteria to earn the Golden Achievement Award which signifies outstanding strategic efforts in all aspects of school public relations, communications, marketing and engagement.
The department also received the following awards:
- Award of Excellence for the District 207 website
- Award of Honorable Mention for the community newsletter, the 207 STEM video and the student teachers video
NSPRA is the leader in school communications and its mission is to build support and trust for education through responsible public relations that leads to success for all students.
