PROJECT SUMMARY
Current Progress
Besides the 2 major projects continuing at Maine West, we are in preparation mode for the Summer 2022 construction program.
Maine East: Work in the Attic of Area A continues. We will recommence major renovations in the Spring.
Maine South: Miscellaneous Electrical Work continues. We will recommence major renovations in the Spring.
Maine West: The Rotunda’s finishes are wrapping up in anticipation of turnover to the District after the Winter Break.
B Wing Gym continues to progress well. MEP overhead, wall installation and ceiling framing are all on going. Finishes to follow over the next few months.
COVID 19 Impacts Weekly Owner / Architect / Contractor Coordination remains remote via Google Meetings, but the District and Wight continue to be present at each campus as needed to resolve issues and monitor the progress of the work.
PCC has updated our COVID guidelines to adhere to the recently changed State of Illinois Executive Order regarding vaccine mandates.
We have seen an uptick of cases over the last 3 week on other projects but with limited forces in the buildings have not seen any spikes at the 3 schools.
Construction Budget Budget and Phasing provided under separate presentation at 9/27 meeting.
Next Budget Update will occur after the DP4 estimate is completed.
Bid Period No. 4 Design – Bid Period No. 4 Design Development Drawings are being finalized by Wight & Co. now. PCC will provide an estimated update based on this set of documents.
