PROJECT SUMMARY
Current Progress
Maine East: The fieldhouse is fully enclosed and finishes are underway. Finishes includes painting, ceiling installation and epoxy flooring in the locker room areas. 2nd floor overhead duct installation is progressing and should wrap up in next few weeks. Progress continues to maintain schedule.
The Center Court (Area E) has been fully abated and demolition is underway. Demolition will wrap up by end of February. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection layout has already started and will begin installation over next 2 weeks.
The Field House Entrance (Area L) is progressing well. Wall framing for wrestling room is underway as well as MEP/FP rough in.
Old Pool Ceiling Demolition in the lower level of Area B has been completed. Inspection and reporting on capability of existing structure to follow over next few months.
Maine South: The courtyard / cafeteria area has been completed and turned over. Only current work at Maine South is punch list / closeout activities. New scope will start around Spring Break.
Maine West: The fieldhouse overhead work (MEPs / Gym Equipment) is substantially complete and the field house has been turned over to the flooring contractor. They have started preparing the concrete floor for flooring installation which will be on going for the next month. Lobby space is taking shaped and weather pending the exterior metal panels at the entrance will be wrapped up this month.
COVID 19 Impacts
Weekly Owner / Architect / Contractor Coordination remain remote via Google Meetings but the District and Wight continue to be present at each campus as needed to resolve issue and monitor the progress of the work.
We have seen less COVID cases in the construction workforce than last 3 months but provide constant reminders relative to necessary to COVID practices.
Construction Budget
Complete Budget update forthcoming in February.
Bid Period No. 2 Design
Bid Period No. 2 and 2.5 Prime Trade Agreements have been sent to Trade Partners. District / Wight / PCC currently planning out Bid Period No. 3 scope.
