No neighbor issues to report.
Maine East: Field House windows are wrapping up which makes the addition weather tight. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection trades are ongoing on both floors of the addition. 1st floor is substantially roughed in and ceiling system / finishes are commencing. Progress continues to maintain schedule.
The Potter Wing renovation project has been turned over to the District. Punch List activities are underway.
The 2nd portion of 3rd floor C wing is wrapping up and will be turned over for District’s use after the 1st of the year.
District has vacated the Center Court area and Abatement is on going on all levels. Work / Demolition will commence once abatement is completed.
Old Pool Ceiling Demolition in the lower level of Area B has started. This is part of discovery process to determine the structural integrity of the existing structure.
Area L demolition is wrapping up and abatement is underway.
Maine South: The courtyard infill addition is receiving flooring and scheduled for turnover in early February.
The Food Labs have several punch list activities but are turned over for District’s use.
Maine West: The Field House continues to make good progress. Gym Equipment and other overhead MEP/FP are on going. Interior painting has started and flooring will follow next month.
COVID 19 Impacts
Weekly Owner / Architect / Contractor Coordination remain remote via Google Meetings but the District and Wight continue to be present at each campus as needed to resolve issue and monitor the progress of the work.
We have seen less COVID cases in the construction workforce than last 2 months but provide constant reminders relative to necessary to COVID practices.
Complete Budget update forthcoming in February.
Bid Period No. 2 Design
Bid Period No. 2.5 is being brought to Board for approval on 1/25/21. Timing of next Bid Periods is being reviewed between District, Wight and PCC.
