Maine East High School is excited to announce its upcoming production of V-Show, World Tour! The variety show (V-Show) is a time honored tradition that features the amazing talent of the Maine East community through energizing opening and closing numbers and individual acts in between. The show will take place in the Maine East Auditorium (2601 W. Dempster St., Park Ridge, IL) on November 5 at 4 p.m. and November 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available online at https://bit.ly/MEBoxOffice or at the door.
“I love doing pit during V-Show because of the way we bring band and orchestra together,” shares 11th grade bassist Emma Noronha. “We almost never play together and V-Show is a great opportunity to showcase all of our skills. The community is so chill and everyone feels welcome.”
This year Maine East is celebrating its different cultures. The audience can expect to hear songs in at least five different languages and a variety of other acts including dance, instrumentation, magic and video segments.
“We love V-Show; the sheer size of it and the amount of acts means that we get to work with people we usually don’t and everyone plays an important role in putting on the show,” explains Assistant Stage Manager Asthinos Emperado (12th grade). “We especially like how accessible all the jobs on crew are and how they allow people from all experience levels to try out being on leadership.”
This eclectic music and talent show delivers high energy entertainment for the whole family with nonstop movement and engagement making it a perfect evening for a night out.
