The ceiling in the original pool has been demolished. On Thursday March 11th, the District met with Inspect, the consultant in charge of the mitigation. The next steps are:
- Have a structural engineer investigate the structural integrity of the ceiling structure. Inspect is getting a cost for this work and it will include core samples and x-rays.
- Perform a water mitigation mock up in the mechanical room, which is the lowest point in the structure and has a constant trickle of water.
Once the initial report from Inspect is received, it will be shared with the Board.
