PACE Bus will again provide bus routes specifically for our schools. We are grateful to PACE for this service and their partnership.
Unfortunately, for the first three days of school this year — Wednesday, August 12 (9th graders only), Thursday, August 13, (all students) and Friday, August 14 (all students) — PACE is unable to provide full service for all school routes in the morning.
The morning routes that will run the first three days of school are highlighted on the links below:
In the afternoon, all routes will run as usual.
Beginning on Monday, Aug. 17, all morning and afternoon routes will run as usual. Those maps and timetables are available on the transportation page of the website.
We recognize that this makes it more difficult for some families to get to school, and we apologize for that.
If your family has alternate transportation options for the first three days of school, the district encourages you to take advantage of those options because even without the morning route challenge, the first days of any school year tend to be less consistent with busing as PACE ramps back up after summer break. We also recognize that for many families, PACE bus is the only option for getting to school. In those cases, as always please arrive at the stop early, be patient and wait for the route if it is running late. PACE has assured the district that all routes will run as scheduled – both for the first three days and throughout the school year.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation as we work through this situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Brett Clark, Director of Communications, at [email protected].
