Get ready to groove through the soundtrack of unforgettable hits as Maine East High School proudly presents its annual Variety Show (V-Show) with the electrifying theme “One Hit Wonders!” Join us on November 6 at 4 p.m. and November 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. in the Maine East Auditorium for a night filled with energy, laughter and incredible performances celebrating the songs that topped the charts and left their mark in music history. Hosted by a charismatic team of of 12th graders consisting of Marie Castillo, Kaiya Jemison, Shaydon Pinto, LJ Rivera and Natalia Szpiech, this year’s V-Show promises to bring audiences on a musical journey through catchy classics and iconic anthems that everyone knows and loves.
The lineup features a wide variety of acts, including the Orchesis, Adipoli South Dancers, A Cappella groups, magic acts and the Filipino Club. Expect everything from high-energy dance numbers to soulful solos, a full student orchestra performance and rockin’ student-led bands like Black Sesame. The night will also feature cultural dances and throwback tributes that will have you singing along from your seat.
“I’m beyond excited to be an MC for V-Show this year,” shares host and performer Shaydon Pinto, 12th grade. “It’s always such an incredible celebration of the talent, creativity and heart that make the Maine East community so special.”
