Was it Inge Dietrichson, The Documentarian?.Maine East High School’s Fine Arts program is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of Dial A for Agatha by David Toth. The play follows the unconventional Inspector Mandrake as he closes in on the perpetrator, putting every guest and servant under intense suspicion. Adding to the fun, the audience will have the unique opportunity to participate – attendees can cast their vote to guess the murderer before the night is over for a chance to win a prize.

Dial A for Agatha is definitely a production that people want to see because of the excitement that it produces,” shares Hanna Pokratka (10th grade) who plays Lucy. “As a whodunit comedy with many twists and turns, audiences will be on their toes the entire show. Everyone involved in the show, from the cast to the crew, have definitely worked really hard to produce a show full of laughs, mystery and suspense.”

This inventive murder mystery play takes the familiar stock characters of a bygone era and cleverly transplants them into a modern setting, promising an evening of mystery and dramatic farce.

“Working on the spring play is always such a great experience,” says Natalia Szpiech (12th grade), who plays Mrs. Dietrickson. “It’s unique from our other productions in the best way and Dial A for Agatha has been a great experience when it comes to accent work and how many different different personalities we cover.”

Don’t miss this engaging and comedic theatrical experience.
