Classroom Observer Process

Classroom Observer Process

Classroom observations provide future educators with the opportunity to see real-world applications of instructional strategies and classroom practices.

If you would like to request observation hours, please contact the appropriate Department Chair directly. A listing of all departments can be found here: [insert link].

Definition of Observation
An observation is defined as watching a teacher provide instruction in the classroom. During an observation, individuals:

-May observe instruction only
-May not interact with students
-May not assist with instruction or mini-lessons
-May not engage in classroom activities

If your program requires you to work directly with students, assist with instruction, or participate in any interactive capacity, you must follow the Clinical/Field Experience process outlined below.

Confidentiality Requirement
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. By participating in a classroom observation, individuals agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student information, records, and any details related to students enrolled at Maine Township High School District 207.

If you have any additional questions, please contact Celestina Rivera, [email protected].
