ESY will be delivered in person at Maine East High School on Monday – Thursday. Instructional hours will be from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm and there will be no sessions on Fridays along with June 19th, and July 4th due to Holidays. |
ESY is defined as special education and related services provided to a child with a disability beyond the normal school year of the public agency following the child’s IEP and at no cost to the child’s parents (ISBE). ESY services must be provided only if the student’s IEP team, on an individualized basis and by the district’s IEP procedures, determines that ESY services are necessary to ensure FAPE. As with all IEP decisions, the final determination of the nature, frequency, and duration of services that will be provided must be individually determined based on the needs of the student by 34 CFR 300.106 and 23 IAC 226.230(a)(4).
The Maine Township High School District 207 ESY staff will include Special Education Teachers, Teacher Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists, Psychologists, Occupational therapists, Physical Therapists, and other related service personnel. To participate in ESY, a student’s ‘active IEP’ must indicate a need for ESY services determined by their IEP team.

ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS: Parents of a student who requires ESY services per their ‘Active IEP’ will receive direct registration information via Email or can register by accessing the link below. The registration window closes on FRIDAY, MARCH 15, 2024. If declining services, please indicate through the registration process by the deadline to assist in assigning students a classroom teacher.
